ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Admission Requirements
Master of Science in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS)
Applicants to the Master of Science in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS) Program must have earned at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the United States, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. An official transcript evidencing completion of the bachelor’s degree, and a formal letter of recommendation from the applicant’s employer, professor, or academic advisor will be required in the admissions process.
Prior coursework should evidence completion of at least 15 semester credits or equivalent in courses related to computers, computer network, information systems, information technology, or programming as determined by the Program Chair of the CIS Department of CALUSA Institute. Applicants who have not completed their bachelor’s degree in a related area or whose undergraduate courses are deficient will be required to register and complete program prerequisite courses in CALUSA Institute prior to registering curriculum courses.
Admission to the Program is based upon the academic and professional background of the applicant, as well as competitive and programmatic factors. Applications will be reviewed, and admissions will be determined on an individual basis.
Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics (MBA BA)
Applicants to the Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics (MBA BA) Program must have earned at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the United States, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. An official transcript evidencing completion of the bachelor’s degree, and a formal letter of recommendation from the applicant’s employer, professor, or academic advisor will be required in the admissions process.

Applicants to the Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Informatics (MSHMI) Program must have earned at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the United States, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. An official transcript evidencing completion of the bachelor’s degree, and a formal letter of recommendation from the applicant’s employer, professor, or academic advisor will be required in the admissions process.

Admissions Procedures
- Admissions Application – All applicants must complete the Admissions Application Form. The form can be requested from the Office of Admissions or downloaded off the Institution website: www.calusa.edu. The Admissions Application Form must be completed thoroughly in order to be processed.
Application Fee– All applicants must pay the non-refundable application fee ($50.00) together with the submission of the Admissions Application Form. Non-payment of the application fee may delay processing of the application or render the application as withdrawn. - Proof of Graduation – Applicants must provide proof of completion of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized higher-education institution (e.g., accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the equivalent), such as an official transcript.
- If bachelor’s degree is completed outside the U.S., applicants must either: (a) provide foreign transcript evaluation verifying U.S. bachelor degree equivalency from an approved evaluation agency; or (b) request CALUSA Institute to process foreign transcript evaluation from an approved evaluation agency in which case the applicant pays the transcript evaluation fee ($85.00). Documents submitted to the Institution in support of student’s application become the property of the Institution. The documents cannot be returned or forwarded.
- Personal Identification – All applicants must submit copies of two (2) evidences of personal identification such as a State driver’s license, government-issued identification card, passport, visas, or any government issued photo identification; and at least one of these must contain a photo of the applicant.
Petition for Readmission
The Institute requires all candidates who applied in prior years to complete the PETITION FOR READMISSION FORM. Any student who has withdrawn or has been dismissed from the University who wishes to return must submit a PETITION FOR READMISSION FORM to the Office of Admissions. The application must be accompanied by the non-refundable readmission fee of $50.00.

All applicants must submit a completed admission application and provide official academic transcripts or records from a previous higher educational institution(s). Failure to comply may result a delay in enrollment at the Institution or loss of academic credit. The institution recruits and admits domestic and international students who have demonstrated the potential to complete CALUSA Institute’s academic programs successfully. Motivation and interest to succeed are considered in addition to the applicants’ academic qualifications.
